Division I, Division II, and Division III Information

Division III (Recreation Soccer) – This is what soccer is all about!!!  It is what you see every Saturday morning and Monday night.  The DIII program is where you register to play soccer and you are placed on a team and you play approximately 8 games in the fall and 8 games in the spring.  This is the life line for all other programs and where development begins.

Division II (Challenge) – This is still a product of Division III and it offers a little competitive flavor.  This typically begins at U9 and rosters do not have to be DIII rosters.  These teams can be formed as all-star teams; however, we are looking to offer more openly to all to allow more opportunities.  The players still play on a DIII team, but also play in Challenge tournaments too.  This is typically six tournaments a year and can include President’s Cup (State Championship through MSA) and The State Games of Mississippi.

Division II (Primary) – This too is a product of Division III, but it takes the players out of DIII.  These are more advanced teams that are focused on playing tournaments.  The ages typically range from U10 and up.

Division I (Select) – This is your most competitive form of soccer and you do not play Division III at all.  You practice and play tournaments.  When you play with MSA, you play league games, which allow you to constantly play teams you will eventually face in State Cup (MSA State Championship).
